Today, I want to talk about why copying the strategy of another coach is a terrible strategy.
We all follow coaches that are leading the way for all of us…some very, very successful coaches by the way.
As a new coach starting out, or even a coach that has been around for a while, it might seem like a good idea and a short cut to copy the strategy of what they have done and what they are doing.
Here is where the wheels fall off the wagon.
Here is where we would do a mic drop if we could…ready?
…it’s not just about strategy! BOOM!!!
In fact, you can have a kick ass website, with branding that is all matchy-matchy and on point. Your font can be all uniform with a logo to die for. But…if your brain does not believe in your ability to create the result you want…you won’t.
The converse is true too. I know lots of coaches with no website, no Facebook group, no email list and they make a lot of money and help a lot of people.
How?
They believe.
When you believe in your ability, it shows. It shows in how you show up as a coach, how you show up as an expert, how you show up period.
“When you don’t believe in your value as a coach, or your offer, or your program or your transformations, or your messaging, you can have to best looking business in the business, and still not have a business.”~janetcaglecoaching
I know it feels like if you had all of the bells and whistles and processes that the successful coaches have, then you would then believe, and then you be successful.
That’s not how it works.
When you believe in your ability, and I mean believe down to your toes, believe when there is no evidence, believe even when you fail a hundred times…only then, will you begin to take the action that you need to take in order to create. the results that you want to create.
BOOM AGAIN!!
Belief comes first. Belief that there are clients who need you, who want you and who will pay you. Belief that you will create the strategies to find them, all of them.
Here are some truth bombs for you…
– It’s your thoughts that create your results, not your website.
– It’s your thoughts that create your results, not your branding.
– It’s your thoughts that create your results, not your logo, your font or your email service provider.
Be willing to try a variety of strategies until you find one that works for you and your audience.
Be willing to fail a variety of ways.
Be willing to be really, really bad until you learn enough to become really, really good.
By the way…none of the coaches that you follow got to their level of success without first believing and then being willing to experience it all.
So here is my final thought…
We will find the strategy that works to create your successful business. We will create powerful branding and results driven programs…but none of that will matter until you believe.
What do you believe?
